#SWIM1922 Water Safety Clinic

As part of our national SWIM1922 initiative aimed at increasing swim participation and decreasing drowning rates in underserved communities nationwide, Eta Rho Sigma of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is proud to host the annual SWIM1922 Water Safety Clinic in partnership with Buffalo State University. This FREE event welcomes participants of all ages and will take place on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Buffalo State University.

Join us for a practical and informative session where we'll teach the fundamentals of water safety and the basic skills of swimming. This is a hands-on clinic, so come prepared to get into the pool and learn by doing. Attendees can expect hands-on demonstrations, informational sessions, and interactive workshops led by experienced instructors and experts in aquatic safety. Topics covered may include drowning prevention, basic swimming techniques, CPR and first aid training, and proper supervision and precautions around water environments. This clinic aims to empower individuals with the practical knowledge and skills to stay safe in and around water, ultimately reducing the risk of water-related accidents and fatalities.

Please note that pre-registration is required, along with the completion of a Publicity Release and Hold Harmless Agreement waiver (both forms will be emailed to you prior to the event). Additionally, children and youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Spaces are limited, so secure your spot now.
