Project Cradle Care
Project CRADLE Care occurs annually on the third Saturday of January in collaboration with the March of Dimes and addresses the alarming disparity in maternal and infant health outcomes for Black women through community outreach, advocacy, education, and implicit bias training, aiming to mitigate systemic issues such as chronic stressors, health conditions, structural racism, and biases within the healthcare system.

Annual Youth Symposium
The Youth Symposium occurs annually on the second Saturday of March during Sigma Week, uniting alumnae chapters nationwide to address youth-related issues like drug abuse and teen violence through interactive leadership activities. With a standardized agenda, the Symposium aims to improve educational and behavioral outcomes while garnering strong community support as a pivotal event in empowering youth.

Women’s Wellness Initiative
The Women’s Wellness Initiative in collaboration with the United Nations/March of Dimes allows chapters to address health issues impacting women of color, such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Intimate and Domestic Violence, Heart Health, Diabetes Health, Mental Health to promote healthy lifestyles, empower informed decision-making regarding women’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Swim 1922
Swim 1922 occurs annually between May and August in partnership with USA Swimming addresses the concerning statistic of daily drownings in the U.S., with a particular focus on the disproportionately high rates among African American and Hispanic children. Through community education led by Olympians and sorority members, the initiative aims to combat this disparity.

Operation BIGBookbag
Operation BIGBookBag, in partnership with the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order, Nobles Mystic Shrine, Inc., addresses the educational needs of at-risk school-aged children in local homeless shelters and care facilities by providing donated educational materials and school supplies, facilitating access to study aids and assisting with homework with back-to-school supply giveaways in August and January.
